definition: Love is one of the most important thing we need to understand and we need to have in life. Most often in our experience , we are led astray by the many confusing definitions of love made by people from all walks of life. But, no matter how far and how deep we dig into the totality of its being, we cannot fully grasp and comprehend what Love really is. However, though how vague and broad it is, I would just give my personal definition by stating that Love is life. It is something that influence and force us to go on and to live life fully. Probably, i may sound so broad but this is how i see and define Love. desription: As i said earlier, Love on its totality cannot really be expressed and defined by mere words. it has to be put into action and thus, it can only be described. Love on its essence is limitless and boundless. For a child, their love is expressed on accumulating things like toys for their own fun and gaining attention and appreciation from their parents and guardians. For the youth particularly those who are on their puberty period and those who are young adults, love is something that inspire them, urge them to become energetic and influence their lives to become enthusiastic because there is this love that they get and give to their loved ones. But for an adult and for those who qualify to the mature stage of life, love for them is something that they can give to, and not something that they can get from. This is expressed on their concern about their family life, in caring their children and their spouses.Others they expressed their love to their fellowmen by offering their lives to become a servant and leader in our society. understanding: One way of understanding the meaning of love is by way of experiencing it. It should be experienced so that its meaning would be deeply rooted to the very core of our being. I started to comprehend what love is, is when i first fall in love with a girl, we back in my high school days. Just as explained in the article " How do you know when you are in love? ", i became crazy at that time but not necessariliy abnormal. Then, all the other steps of falling in love stage follows. But that was not the end, because we both became a lovers. And from then on, i try to explain to her that love is more than just a feeling, it's not all romance and a matter of sex. Love is more than this. However, in terms of my personal experience of parental love was not yet fully understood before, particularly in my high school days. Probably, there was a reason for that and one of those would be the treatment of my parents when i was still a child. Their ways and treatments on me was not that fair. It is only at this moment, the moment when i enter college and in the seminary when i started to love them, respect them as a person and as a friend because i was able to process and understand them also why they had treated me in those ways. it is then that i started to take good care of them. it is then that i started to understand and practice what Love really is. And, that is how LOVE affects me and grows in my life.
