THE
MAN I
LOVE

The
man I love is far--
He
lives on the other side of the globe,
Where
his day is my night
And
my night is his day.
But
our hearts know no such distance—
We
are one in love,
One
in thought,
And
one in dream.
I
cannot kiss the man I love
Before
he sleeps at night
And
when he wakes up every morning.
But
in my mind and heart
I
kiss him goodnight every time he sleeps,
I
snuggle up to him during cold nights,
And
I wake up seeing his blue-gray eyes
Full
of love and hope for both of us.
I
cannot touch and make love to the man I love
But
in my fantasies he is always with
me,
Our
limbs intertwined in the throes of
passion
That
hides no secret desire or needs unmet.
I
can feel the heat of our longing
As
he pins me and makes me forget
The
boundaries of time and space.
I
miss the man I love every moment of the day
Lucky
are those who work with him,
Are
his friends,
For
they see him,
Talk
to him, and joke with him.
But
I love him with a love that knows no end,
With
a love willing to take unknown risks,
Just
to be with him,
To
love him, and care for him forever.
So
if you see the man I love,
Remember
that he is precious to me.
He
is God’s best gift to me,
And
I am proud to be part of his life
Because
he is wonderful,
And uniquely the best of all the men I have known.
There is no one like him
Even if you wait for a hundred years.
So if you are any of his friends,
Take time to appreciate him as a fine piece
Of God's handiwork--
For he is the man I love!
