PRAYER OF LOVE

I pray that I will always be a loving human being to you, my soul mate, as we journey in this life together.

And in our journey, let our hearts merge as we give and receive each other’s love, and give each other’s selves, recognizing that we are each other’s real treasures.

May we always be reminded that we have met in this lifetime because there are lessons that only we can give to each other, experiences that only we can share, and needs that only we can fulfill.

And may we be humble and forgiving of each other’s limitations and faults as we proclaim each other’s basic innocence.

May we know how to listen to each other’s implicit appeal for understanding and acceptance as we learn the mystery and wonder of relating to each other every day.

Let us always love each other for who we are, and in our sacredness, accept each other’s virtues and each other’s frailties.

May we always honor and trust each other as we create our individual spaces that will make us grow as persons.

Let us be each other’s strength and each other’s shelter when times are rough and when the whole world seems unfriendly.

May we create ripples in the love we have for each other so we can widen our circle of friends and spread cheer and comfort to those around us.

And let us not be afraid of our individualities and differences, as they are the very reasons why we love and find each other interesting in the first place.

Let us always remember that we are friends first and lovers next.  We can be honest and naughty, be charming and stubborn, be playful and impossible, and still be assured of each other’s love.

Let us free ourselves from unrealistic expectations and remember that the only expectation we have of each other is to love each other and to be there for each other in fair or stormy weather—no more, no less.

Let our capacity of giving and receiving pleasure from each other be exciting and forever new, aware that it is our inner landscape of loving that determines the exquisiteness of our sexual expression.

May we never take each other for granted and never forget that we have vowed to love each other forever, to share our joys and pains together, and to grow old together.

May our journey in this life be peaceful and fun as we enfold each other in the warmth of our love.

Let us be two souls to each other who have probably loved before and in all probability will love in all eternity.

I pray that we can be together in the days to come for there is no greater sorrow than not being with you, no better joy than to be embraced and kissed by you.

I love you my precious one, forever.
