Here In My Heart

Here in my heart is a thousand images

of you and me,

kissing, hugging, holding hands,

meeting for the first time,

tongue-tied, self-conscious

but immensely in love.

Here in my heart I see you lying

beside me, wonderfully innocent,

yet wonderfully real;

I see us naked, our bodies touching,

intermingling, melting, heaving,

as we pant and moan

in the primordial dance of Love's passion.

Here in my heart I see us

canopied under the changing seasons,

as we love, and learn to love some more,

while the years we spend together are

 adorned with  a thousand rainbows

and stars to see us through.

Here in my heart I see a love so true,

and I am not afraid to spend

the whole of my life with you.
