HEAVEN IS....

That moment when love is wordlessly

Uttered in your eyes, in your smile,

In your touch,

When one day you finally say hello

and make my fantasy a beautiful reality.

To hug you completely

And feel the secret chambers

Of all your pent-up longing:

The hunger, the thirst,

That visits you when love

Is far and missing.

To taste your lips in mine

And trace the outline of that

Delicious warmth that becomes

A  flame the moment we surrender

to love's passionate embrace.

To be singed by the pathways of pleasure

In your caress, that makes us forget

Night and day,

The color of the sky,

The pains of existence.

To melt in your arms in the afterglow,

Mesmerized by the heave of your sigh,

Your arms around me,

Taking away  scattered hurts

by years of unloving,

circling me with  love that knows no end.

I shall wait for  you,

For that moment when there is no sea

Or land to separate two hearts

Two souls, two minds

Two bodies--

For heaven is us becoming one

for all eternity!
